Cushy 5-star Unforgettable Services Given by a 3-star Hotel in Osaka - Via Inn Shinsaibashi Nagahoridori

2016

S2E Travel Story

Taking the first breath of autumn in Japan in my life… feel so relaxed when the cool autumn breeze embraced my cheeks.

On the way to taking train from KIX to Namba station.

I was going to check in this 3-star hotel, ViaInn Shinsaibashi Nagahoridori. The hotel website has provided very clear instructions on how to go from Namba station:

[In the case of Namba Station]

  • Subway Midosuji Line (about 3 minutes) - Shinsaibashi Station
  • Subway Yotsubashi Line (about 3 minutes) - Yotsubashi station

After having asked few people about how to walk from train station, I finally arrived at the hotel. Japanese has been very helpful on directing the ways to the hotel even at the language barrier.

Tada! ViaInn Shinsaibashi Nagahoridori.

I booked the non-smoking business double room. It was a very compact, cozy, fresh, and clean queen-bedded room. The mattress is medium soft and not too hard. I liked it. Basic facility included mini fridge, TV, alarm on the bed side, shoe horn, shoe brush, and a laptop. I had never booked a business room before, so I think a laptop is expected for a business room.

What has way exceeded my expectations and impressed me was the iron + iron board like smart design called The Corby Trousers Press, Air Purifier Ioniser Plasma, and more! For those who had not so good smokey smell hotel room experience will find this Air Purifier Ion plasma is a bliss~

Guess where is the best spot guests always look at first in a hotel room?

The bathroom! The bathroom was giving me goosebumps. It has been the cleanest bathroom and hotel room I have ever stayed in. It was flawlessly clean. Dry, finger-prints and air droplet stains free. And the mold usually stuck in gaps between tiles could not even find slightest space in this hotel. My friend who visited Japan before said that she couldn’t even find a strand of hair in hotels in Japan. I am not sure as I didn’t pay attention to that. Haha.

What I loved most was the luxurious brand of royal jelly shampoo and shower gel!  Usually hotels will use cheap and self-branded fragrance-pungent or bubble-less shampoo and shower gel. Daily housekeeping will be done by schedule. Brushes, towels, toothpastes, hotel slippers and other disposable reusable will be refilled daily.

Japanese has been delicate and meticulous to what is closer to people’s hearts. You will only have the first-hand experience when you come to Japan. After hot shower, foggy mirror is always an annoyance when you want to use it. ViaInn Shinsaibashi provided an anti-fog mirror. I realized it after shower. Something more! Had a chill to sit on toilet seat in Autumn and Winter? The toilet seat with WARM-UP button for autumn and winter season.  They made my jaws dropped for only a 3-star hotel.

And the laptop provided in the business room would auto-erase your browsed history to protect your privacy. This was impressive. You have been given long before you have EVEN thought of asking for. The list of free rental items were iron/ironing board, mail clipper, desk lamp, cellphone charger, medical thermometer, sewing kit, bottle opening, extension cable and even ice pack! And you can find backup light in the hotel room too.

Ok… before you were going to walk out of the room, shoe horn was standard, shoe brush and shoe polishers were provided. Something surprisingly exquisite was … a full body wall mirror was prepared before you walked out of the door. I haven’t seen any other hotel has that so far.

Being a regular of this hotel? You can easily check out with this automated machine.

You have been pampered so bad and even felt spoilt by Japan service providers. The hotel services in Japan has been an eye opener to me that Japan service industry has been unparalleled and championing in the world. They made the place feel more cozy and comfortable than your home. I am not sure about other hotels in Japan, but this hotel made my trip was so free and easy that I just needed to bring some simple clothes! Maybe you just need to bring yourself only as some clothes can be bought there easily at reasonable price.
