Freshly Baked Pablo Mini Cheese Tarts Straight from Japan and more street sight-seeing!

2016

S2E Travel Story

Burrrp! After some sight-seeing and dinner, it was time for desserts!

I had seen some photos about food and desserts I gonna try in Japan. But I had been too busy that I didn’t pay much attention. I passed by one Pablo outlet but that was for takeaways not a café.

Woot! The crowds started their queues when a Pablo café caught my eyes. I was wondering … mhm…. Should I have a walk first or I have desserts first? When I was thinking, more people started lining up. Then I made up our minds.  Let’s move in! The waitress said I could go straight to the 2nd floor for dining in as the queue was for take-away.

Walking up the staircases on the other side of the queue, I arrived at the 2nd floor.

In the middle, there were two ladies looking at the menu. This Pablo café has very pleasant and relaxing ambience. Soft lightning and music would attract you to settle down in seats. It has always been a courtesy to make request for permission before you take your shots in any places. The staff there gave us a nod. I tried my best to get all the shots closest to what I have seen in trips.

On the other side of the hall, there was an area which was close. The waitress said that that corner was only open during the day time.

And at the end of the hall, a white screen with projected video was showing “How to Make the Best Tarts”. You would be like “omg, they were showing videos on their trade secrets on how to make the best tarts?!” LOL. When you were watching closely, it was just silly videos of using the guy’s head to make serious tarts (with Pablo tarts logo).

Having a good glimpse on a variety of flavors, I made the order on the signature of original Pablo mini cheese tarts. Classic is always the best. Here it comes!

The presentation was exquisite and appetizing. The puffy cheesy smooth surface glittered beautifully with the sprinkled icy sugar crust. There was a small cup of orange syrup and a scoop of fine vanilla ice cream with a cilantro deco. It was like an art piece pleasing to your eyes. Let’s cut it open.

The fluffiness and bubbly texture and crispy crust was so inviting. Nothing pleased you most to deliver into your mouth. The fluffiness cushioned on your tongue had been heavenly gratifying. The crust was crunchy and crispy. You just want to have more of this sophisticated taste!

I was never a pastry fan. Pastries always gave me a heavy look. But this Pablo mini cheese tart was graceful.

After a gratifying dessert serving, I went for a walk nearby. Kani Doraku crab and a Starbucks opposite it. There was an Irish Pub nearby caught my eyes. I couldn’t help it but took two snaps on it.

All of the photos shot here I tried to keep them in real color and lighting. In other words, you see what you get when you travel to here. No surprises. No color and post-productions. They are straight from camera. I just resized them for loading faster.
