I was walking around the Ishibutai(石舞台) which was in between Kitaindoganedo(北鐘堂), Shitennoji(四天王寺) and Rokujireisando(六時禮讚堂). This pigeon had been pretty laid back on Ishibutai… treating it like its backyard. Haha… It became my object of interest. I kept snapping on it.
So … my next shot on it was below.
Its response back to me was squeezing its eyes and was about to ruffle its feathers~
Woot! Scary … Hahaha …. It was like I had been disturbing his happy hour.
Most of the outer buildings of the temple are free to view, but there are three locations where you will need to pay a fee to enter. These are the Chushin Garan or inner temple complex, the Treasure House, and the Gokurakujodo Garden. The inner complex of the Chushin Garan includes the Kondo or main hall, the Kodo lecture hall, a five story pagoda, and is surrounded by a covered walkway with three gates. The fee to enter the Chushin Garan is 500 yen for adults, 300 yen for senior high and university students, and free for children of junior high age or younger. - https://www.osakastation.com/shitennoji-temple/
I enjoyed the ancient temple architecture. You can have mind-calming moment here.
This is the map of the path I took. You can easily spot architectures of each building. I made this as many people may be confused by the name of the buildings.
Kitaindoganedo(北鐘堂), Shitennoji(四天王寺) and WarDrum Tower(太鼓樓) are in line and next to each other. Ishibutai is between Rokujireisando(六時禮讚堂) and those architectures.
These were some of the shots I took around them.
The last temple in Shitennoji we went was Sanmen Daikokudo(三面大黑堂). It was said the Sanmen Daikokudo has three faces, they are The God of Wealth, The God of Warriors and The God of Love. They are believed to bring good fortune to your lives and grant your wishes.
One thing has been very interesting. The school bell and the temple bells I heard here were exactly the same as those I heard in those Japanese animation.
I did our prayers then slowly strolling back to the same route I took to come here.
